Pre-Care Instructions

Do not wear makeup on the day of your Morpheus8 treatment.

Excess hair may need to be shaved the night prior.

No spray tans, tanning lotions, tanning beds, sun exposure, etc. 4 weeks prior to Morpheus

Avoid treatments that may irritate the skin for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment (waxing, depilatories,
etc.)

Notify the clinic of any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment.

History of herpes or cold sores may require an anti-viral prescription prior to treatment.

Patients with Skin types IV-VI interested in Morpheus treatments will need to be on some form of pigment control treatment.

Discuss with your Primary Care Provider if it is ok to discontinue the following medications a week before your Morpheus8 treatment: aspirin, ibuprofen, Excedrin, Motrin, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, flax oil, cod liver oil, fish oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, and other essential fatty acids. Also, avoid drinking caffeine and alcohol a few days before your treatment. If you must take pain medication, Tylenol is your best choice.
Please fill out all your required paperwork prior to each of your appointments as there is a significant amount of paperwork to fill out and sign prior to your treatment. If you do not fill out you paperwork prior to your treatment we may need to reschedule your appointment.
Post-Care Instructions
First 24 Hours:

Only lukewarm water with gentle cleanser

Cool the treatment area for 10-20 min.

Tiny scabs may appear after 1-3 days and stay for several days following the treatment. The scabs should not be touched or scratched even if they itch and should be allowed to flake off naturally.

Prophylactic antiviral therapy should be continued for patients with a history of cold sores (Herpes Simplex) when treating around the mouth.
24-72 Hours:

Only lukewarm water with gentle cleansers

In the AM, apply sunscreen w/ AT LEAST SPF 30

Ok to wear make-up as needed, but prefer to wait for 72hrs

Limit mask and wear a new one, if possible

During the first two days following treatment, the treatment area should be kept clean to avoid contamination or infection; any mechanical or thermal damage to the area must be avoided.
After 72hrs Up Until Next Treatment:

Cleanse with Gentle Cleansers

In the AM, apply sunscreen w/ AT LEAST SPF 30

Ok to wear make-up as preferred

For Asian patients and skin types IV and V, a prescription or compounded bleaching regimen may be prescribed by the physician for 6-12 weeks, 2-3 times a week following the healing of the treatment area (typically 7 days) to minimize the risk of post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. It should be stopped 48-72 hours before another Morpheus8 session. Restart Pigment Control Cream to be applied nightly for 1 week then 2-3x/week and slowly cycle off.
